Given that you may choose me to be celebrant for your special ceremony, I think that it is only right that you know a little about me.
I have recently moved to Oamaru and am very excited about being part of a smaller community.
I have lived in Dunedin for the past 20 years, apart from a few years spent working in Ireland, Scotland and Canada. I have a very strong connection with Eastern Southland (Wyndham) where I grew up on a farm, as well as with Papatowai, in the Catlins, where my parents now live.
I am very much a people person and enjoy getting to know people from all sorts of backgrounds.
I have a warm, outgoing and down to earth personality. I also have the ability to convey what is heartfelt and sensitive in a meaningful way.
I have an inclusive understanding of faith and spirituality and endeavour to meet people where they are at. I am well aware that some people don't sit comfortably with any type of religion, while for others it is an integral part of who they are and what they want to include in their ceremony. I am very interested in the area of faith and how people find meaning in their lives. I am studying a Theology degree part time at University.
