Hello, my name is Jill McDonald. I am a registered Celebrant and have been conducting weddings and other significant services, including funerals and baby naming ceremonies, since September 2005. It is such a privilege and an honour to have this role in people's major life events. I love this work!
I enjoy conducting all types of ceremonies: traditional or non-traditional, religious/spiritual or non-religious/spiritual. I have officiated at ceremonies in a variety of settings including private gardens, farms and beaches. The most unusual setting in which I have officiated would have to be marrying two of my friends at the Wanaka Rippon Music Festival (between the band 'Pluto' and Hollie Smith!). I also co-lead both the 2007 & 2009 Relay for Life Candlelight Ceremony in Dunedin.
I have resources to share and I am very happy to assist you with formatting, readings and wording for vows if you would like guidance with this.
I am based in Dunedin, however I also conduct ceremonies throughout Otago and Southland.
I am a member of the Celebrants Association of New Zealand and abide by their code of conduct and code of ethics.
